Women stage new protest in Jakarta against Prabowo’s government

Jakarta, Jun 18 (EFE/EPA).- Around a hundred women marched through central Jakarta on Thursday in a new day of protests to express growing discontent over President Prabowo Subianto’s economic and social policies.

The demonstration, organized by the feminist group Indonesian Women’s Alliance, proceeded peacefully, although it saw isolated scuffles and moments of tension with authorities who, according to participants, tried to block the march. (Camera: MAST IRHAM).
