AI warns of deterioration of the social structure due to anti-NGO laws in six Latin American countries

Asunción, March 23 (EFE). - Amnesty International (AI) warned that the enactment between 2020 and 2026 of laws aimed at silencing non-governmental organizations in Ecuador, El Salvador, Venezuela, Paraguay, Nicaragua, and Peru is “eroding the social structure” in these countries by hindering the work of these entities that defend fundamental rights and provide humanitarian aid.
