Venezuela celebrates baseball title with caravans in Caracas

Caracas, Mar 18 (EFE).- Thousands of people held caravans in Venezuela on Wednesday for a second day to celebrate the national team’s World Baseball Classic title after defeating the United States 3-2 in the final.

The celebrations moved across several areas of Caracas and converged at a central square, where a concert was held and crowds followed a bus carrying the championship trophy.

The victory sparked nationwide festivities, with fans gathering in public spaces to celebrate the country’s first title in the tournament. (Camera: RAYNER PEÑA R.).
