Turkey’s opposition rallies against Istanbul mayor’s arrest

Istanbul (Turkey), Jul 16 (EFE).— Turkey’s main opposition party, the Republican People’s Party (CHP), held a protest in Istanbul on Wednesday to denounce the suspension and imprisonment of the city’s mayor, Ekrem Imamoglu. The demonstration called for justice and highlighted concerns over political interference in the judiciary.
