TSMC profit soars 60.7% in Q2, hits record high | Vídeo

Tainan, Taiwan, Jul 17 (EFE).- Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), the world’s largest chipmaker, reported a net profit of 13.52 billion US dollars for the second quarter of the year, a 60.7 percent increase compared to the same period last year, the company announced Thursday.

The result marks a new quarterly record and represents a 10.2 percent rise from the first quarter, when the company posted a profit of 12.28 billion dollars. (Camera: JAVIER CASTRO BUGARÍN).
