Thousands of people attend Portugal's World Cup premiere in central Lisbon

Lisbon, June 17 (EFE).- Thousands of people gathered in downtown Lisbon on Wednesday to watch Portugal’s World Cup opener, along with thousands more across the country, confident that their national team will perform better in the group stage despite the initial setback of a 1-1 draw against the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
