Spain rescues 55 migrants off Lanzarote coast

ARRECIFE, Spain, Apr 30 (EFE).— A group of 55 male migrants of Maghrebi and sub-Saharan origin were rescued Wednesday night off the coast of Lanzarote after requesting assistance while travelling by boat.

The rescue took place about 30 kilometres east of the island, and the migrants were transferred safely to the port of Arrecife.

The operation was carried out by the vessel Salvamar Al Nair. (Camera: ADRIEL PERDOMO).
