South Korea's Kospi rises 2.25% to record high after US-Iran deal

Seoul, Jun 18 (EFE/EPA).- Seoul’s main stock index, the Kospi, rose 2.25 percent on Thursday, crossing the 9,000-point mark, driven by gains in technology stocks amid optimism over a U.S.-Iran agreement.

The index gained 199.6 points to close at 9,063.84. Meanwhile, the Kosdaq, which tracks smaller and mid-cap tech firms, fell 3.01 percent, or 31.03 points, to 1,000.93. (Camera: JEON HEON-KYUN).
