Red Cross hospital in Helmand manufactures prosthetics for thousands in Afghanistan

Lashkargah (Afghanistan), April 5 (EFE/EPA).- The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) orthopedic hospital in Lashkargah, in Afghanistan’s Helmand province, manufactures prosthetics for people with disabilities as part of its physical rehabilitation center, which offers surgeries, assistive devices, and specialized care to patients from various regions of the country, and treated 19,000 people in 2025.
