Rain fails to dampen Panama support in World Cup match against Ghana

Panama City, Jun 17 (EFE).- Even intermittent rain over Panama City in the afternoon failed to dampen fans’ enthusiasm, as supporters began gathering hours before kickoff of the Panama vs Ghana match at a city park to back the national team in its World Cup fixture.

Overlooking Panama Bay, families, groups of friends, and workers who left their jobs early filled the available spaces at Urracá Park, as drums, horns, and chants of support for the national team echoed through the area. (Camera: CARLOS LEMOS).
