Madrid, Jun 10 (EFE).- PhotoEspaña presents “Nosaltres no tenim por, nosaltres som,” an exhibition that for the first time brings together the photo report by Isabel Steva “Colita” (Barcelona, 1940–2023) on Spain’s first major LGTBI+ protest, which filled the streets of Barcelona with banners and chants in support of the community. On June 26, 1977, thousands of people took to the streets of Barcelona without fear to demand the “right to exist and live without fear,” in a day in which chants, banners, and courage helped challenge a social order deeply marked by intolerance toward difference.
