Peru is undergoing a “process of regression” in the area of human rights, warns Amnesty International

Asunción, March 21 (EFE). - The director of Amnesty International (AI) Peru, Jennie Dador Tozzini, stated that the country is undergoing a “process of regression” in human rights, as evidenced by the enactment of the Amnesty Law of August 2025, a measure aimed at ending prosecutions and legal proceedings against those allegedly responsible for crimes committed during the years of the internal armed conflict.
