SPAIN HIKING

The Peña Cabarga hike, to the highest point in Santander Bay, draws more than 500 participants

Peña Cabarga, May 1 (EFE).- More than 500 people from the Cantabrian towns of Astillero, Villaescusa, and Medio Cudeyo took part this Friday in the traditional Peña Cabarga Hike.

The hike, which began around 10:30 a.m., brought together families, groups of friends, and a few individuals who enjoyed the sunny Friday morning on their own.

Around 12:50 p.m., the crowd reached the summit of Peña Cabarga, where most people had brought sandwiches and drinks, while the municipalities had hired bagpipers to liven up the day. EFE.
