GERMANY VEHICLE-RAMMING INCIDENT

Mass at St. Nicholas Church in Leipzig in memory of the victims of the vehicle-ramming attack

Leipzig (Germany), May 5 (EFE).- The city center of Leipzig, in eastern Germany, looked desolate and somber on Tuesday, including the market square, with police still present in the area of the intentional vehicle attack that killed two people and injured about twenty others the day before.

Despite the heavy police presence, market vendors were striving to convey a sense of normalcy following the attack, for which a 33-year-old German man has been identified as the suspect; he was arrested shortly afterward in the car he used to ram pedestrians in the heart of the city.
