Major festivals like Bogotá’s Estéreo Picnic serve as a showcase and springboard for new voices

Bogotá, Mar. 21 (EFE).- In addition to well-known names like Sabrina Carpenter, Tyler, The Creator, and The Killers, major music festivals are also built on a less visible but equally essential foundation: that of emerging artists who find in these stages an opportunity to grow, test their skills, and make a name for themselves.

STATEMENTS FROM MEMBERS OF THE COLOMBIAN BAND “TIMO”.

1. "I think one of the most beautiful things about these festivals is precisely that they give space to bands and solo artists who are just starting out, who’ve only been around for maybe three or five years, because, for better or worse, since they share the stage with artists like Tyler, The Creator or The Killers, these people who have such a huge following, well, they get a chance to show themselves to this new audience, to attract them, to show what they can do and prove themselves on a major-league stage."

2. “We’re really happy because we’re about to announce right now at the Estereo Picnic that we’re going to play at the Movistar Arena in December of this year, and we’re really happy because I feel like the Estereo Picnic is a very special moment, and I think the Movistar Arena show is going to be even more special. And how nice it is to be able to announce this event here—because it’s a dream; honestly, we never would have imagined it.”
