Madrid celebrates the patron saint festivities of San Isidro | Vídeo

Madrid, May 7 (EFE). - Journalist and writer Sonsoles Ónega delivered the traditional reading of the proclamation for the San Isidro Festivities, in which she called for a Madrid that "welcomes without judging who you are" from the balcony of the Casa de la Villa.

The event, which symbolically kicks off the festivities honoring Madrid's patron saint, was attended by Mayor José Luis Martínez-Almeida, members of the government team, representatives of municipal groups, as well as guests and numerous citizens who filled every corner of the venue.
