India inaugurates its Mango Festival in New Delhi

New Delhi, Jun 27 (EFE/EPA).- The Indian capital is celebrating the 34th edition of the Mango Festival, showcasing more than 400 varieties of this fruit, considered a national symbol.

According to the Delhi Tourism Office, which organizes the event, India is the world's largest producer of mangoes, with some 1,000 varieties growing throughout its territory, out of a global total of 1,555.
