North Maluku, Indonesia, May 8 (EFE).- Two Singaporean hikers have died and another remains missing in Indonesia following the eruption of the Dukono volcano, on the island of Halmahera, authorities said Friday.

Indonesia’s search and rescue agency, Basarnas, said in a statement it had successfully evacuated about 20 people who were trapped after the eruption, which occurred at 7:41 a.m. local time (2241 GMT Thursday), hours after officials initially reported 17 people missing. (Camera: HANDOUT).
