Congress approves constitutional reform introducing life imprisonment in El Salvador

San Salvador, March 17 (EFE).- El Salvador's Legislative Assembly, dominated by the ruling party New Ideas (NI), on Tuesday approved a constitutional reform that allows for life imprisonment for "murderers, rapists, and terrorists" proposed by President Nayib Bukele's government, which must later be ratified.
