Closure of the border with Ecuador pushes merchants in southern Colombia into the informal sector

San Miguel (Colombia), Mar. 21 (EFE).- The closure of the international bridge over the San Miguel River, which connects southern Colombia with northern Ecuador, not only interrupted traffic between the two countries but also transformed daily life in this area of the Putumayo department, where trade, transportation, and even mobility depend on a border that remains blocked today.
