China's foreign minister hails growing global multipolarity at SCO meeting

Tianjin, Jul 16 (EFE).- China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi hailed the world's increasing multipolarity and economic globalization at a “turbulent” time, during the meeting of foreign ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

At the event on Tuesday in the northeastern Chinese city of Tianjin, Wang called for "further consensus" among the organization's members as “protectionism is surging, and regional conflicts are emerging one after another," according to a statement released Wednesday by the Chinese foreign ministry.
