Caritas welcomes the pope’s visit, highlighting the dignity of the homeless | Vídeo

Madrid, May 6 (EFE).- The secretary general of the Diocesan Caritas, Pilar Algarate, thanked Pope Leo XIV on Wednesday for visiting the “Cedia 24 horas” homeless shelter during his trip to Spain, a decision that, in her opinion, puts the dignity of the homeless at the center.

“We at the Diocesan Caritas of Madrid welcome with gratitude Pope Leo XIV’s visit to the Cedia homeless project,” Algarate stated in an audio recording provided to the press after the official itinerary for the Holy Father’s trip, scheduled for June 6–12, was released, which includes a visit to the CEDIA 24-Hour Information and Shelter Center, located in Carabanchel.
