Caracas mayor predicts “unprecedented day” for Chavismo in municipal elections

Caracas, July 16 (EFE).- The mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, predicted on Wednesday an “unprecedented day” for the ruling United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV) in the municipal elections of July 27, rejected by the main opposition leaders who question the transparency of the electoral body — controlled by pro-Chavez rectors — after the 2024 presidential elections.
