Berlin bans knives and weapons on public transport

Berlin, July 17 (EFE/EPA) – Berlin authorities implemented a ban on carrying knives and other bladed weapons on public transport to improve public safety. Alexanderplatz station was one of the locations where the information campaign was rolled out.

Posters and police patrols reminded passengers of the new regulations on Thursday. Authorities insist that the initiative seeks to reduce violent incidents and promote a safer environment for urban transport users.
