The Army deploys 920 patrols and two helicopters against the fires in Tenerife

La Laguna (Tenerife/Spain), 1 jul (EFE).- The Cabildo de Tenerife and the Spanish Army have activated this Tuesday the Operation Prometheus, a joint forest surveillance device against fires that will extend during the summer months and will have the deployment of 920 military patrols and the incorporation of two helicopters with night vision from the Manoeuvre Helicopter Battalion VI (BHELMA VI).

This will be the second time this collaboration agreement is signed, following its application last year, aimed at expanding the capacity for anticipation, prevention and response to the danger of fire during the months of greatest risk on the island, between July 1st and September 30th.
