Nepal hands over repatriated Lord Bhairab Masks to the local community
Kathmandu (Nepal), 18/06/2026.- Yaga Kumar Pradhan, 86, a resident of Dolakha Samaj, poses for a photograph with dual bronze Bhairava masks at the Chauni National Museum in Kathmandu, Nepal, 18 June 2026. The masks, believed to date back to the 16th century, were stolen from a temple in Dolakha in 1994 and were later traced to the Dallas Museum of Art and the Rubin Museum of Art in the United States.
