World Immunisation Week
ACCRA (Ghana), 30/04/2026.- (FILE) - A nurse from Tema General Hospital goes from house to house during a Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccination campaign in Accra, Ghana, 11 October 2025 (reissued 30 April 2026). WHO's World Immunisation Week is celebrated during the last week of April to raise awareness of the importance of vaccines. This year, the focus is not only on childhood vaccines but also on immunisation throughout life, with an emphasis on adult vaccines, protection against ageing, and preventive care.
