Gaza Freedom Flotilla activist protest 'EU stop looking away' in Brussels
Brussels (Belgium), 17/06/2026.- Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg (C) joins Freedom Flotilla activists and supporters during a demonstration in support of Gaza near the European Council headquarters in Brussels, Belgium, 17 June 2026. The protest took place a day ahead of a meeting of European Union leaders in Brussels and follows the interception by Israeli forces of the Freedom Flotilla vessel Madleen while it was attempting to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza, with activists calling on the EU to take stronger action regarding the conflict and humanitarian situation in the Palestinian territory.
